Did you purchase a Polaris RZR or Ranger Believing the Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) was Safe and Certified? Polaris certifies their ROPS systems meet OSHA standards for farm tractors. They do not. Many Polaris customers purchase after-market ROPS, even after spending up to $20,000 for a new Polaris. If Polaris ROPS systems actually complied with the OSHA standards there would be no reason to buy an after-market ROPS for thousands of additional dollars. It’s like Polaris was selling a car with a five star safety tag when it only has two or three stars.
If you purchased a new Polaris RZR or Ranger in the past three years, you may be eligible for reimbursement based on Polaris’ sales pitch that the ROPS systems on the RZR and Ranger meet OSHA standards.
Hopefully, your efforts will make Polaris start complying with the voluntary OSHA standards instead of ignoring its plain language so people don’t have to purchase after-market ROPS.
